Trophy Awards For The Roche Residence

The California Landscape Contractors Association presented Richard Cohen Landscape & Construction, Inc. of Lake Forest the prestigious Jon R. Alsdorf Memorial Trophy Award for their work on The Roche Residence.

The California Landscape Contractors Association presented Richard Cohen Landscape & Construction, Inc. of Lake Forest the prestigious Jon R. Alsdorf Memorial Trophy Award for their work on The Roche Residence. The Landscape Industry Show sponsored the Jon R. Alsdorf Memorial Trophy Award, which was presented during the association's annual convention in San Diego November 9, 2012. The project was also awarded First Place Trophy Awards in the Lighting and Residential Estate Unlimited Installation categories and an Outstanding Achievement Trophy Award in the Water Features category. Aquascape, Inc. sponsored the Water Features award; Hunter Industries/FX Luminaire sponsored the Lighting award; and Superior Sod sponsored the Residential Estate Unlimited Installation award. Two highly regarded green industry veterans traveled state-wide to personally inspect each and every one of the 150-plus Trophy Award entrants. The judges, who rated projects on their artistic and technical merits, were impressed with work done by Richard Cohen Landscape & Construction, Inc.  "Excellent craftsmanship!," said Trophy Award judge Klaus Kumme, a respected Life Member of the Association. The California Landscape Contractors Association sponsors the Trophy Awards to encourage interest in landscaping, recognize crafts people who produce outstanding landscapes, create pride in superior workmanship and to bestow public recognition on companies, institutions, municipalities and residents for their interest in a beautiful California.According to President Richard Cohen, "Richard Cohen Landscape & Construction, Inc. specializes in high quality custom landscapes, including water features, pools, pavilions, lush planting, lighting and fire features. We have been winning awards in the local chapter for over 30 years."The California Landscape Contractors Association is a non-profit trade organization of licensed landscape and landscape-related contractors. Also included among its approximately 2,200 members are landscape suppliers, landscape architects, public officials, educators, and students. Although formally incorporated in 1952, CLCA has been meeting as an association since 1937.
