The California Landscape Contractors Association has named Regan Barry of Coastal Evergreen its 2017 Regular Member of the Year, honoring his professionalism and leadership.
The award, which is given annually to a Regular Member who is involved with a significant project or accomplishment during the current year, was presented during the association's annual Leadership Conference in Ontario January 30, 2018.
CLCA 2007 President Peter Estournes, the association's 2016 Regular Member of the Year, detailed all that Regan has done for CLCA. "In 2017, he served as his chapter's Membership Director and he was an influential and active member of CLCA's statewide membership committee. He served a second year on the CLCA board as the northern Chapter President's Council representative as well as headed up the Chapter President's Council meetings with his southern counterpart, Paul Hansen. He volunteered on-site at the CLCA NorCal Landscape and Nursery Show in San Mateo. In his community, he helps the Scotts Valley Planning Department with landscape plan review, and he and his company, Coastal Evergreen, donated supplies and labor to the Central Coast chapter's 2017 service project at Natural Bridges High School, where chapter members helped the school and students realize their goal of capturing and using rooftop water to irrigate their fruit trees and gardens."
Also, Estournes said, "Regan consistently leads the charge for the chapter's service projects in many ways: from helping organize the projects, to securing donations and working as one of the labor crew."
