Alex Salazar, CWM, sworn in as 2026 President of the California Landscape Contractors Association
Joining Salazar on the association’s 2026 Board of Directors are:

Alex and the board were sworn into office during the association’s annual Leadership Conference, which was held in Santa Ana January 20-21, 2026.
Alex and his brothers Ivan and Francisco are the third generation gardeners and first generation contractors of the Groundcare Landscape Company.
Based in the San Fernando Valley and serving the greater Los Angeles region, the Groundcare Landscape Company offers commercial and residential installation and maintenance. Services include irrigation audits and water management. They have won 30 CLCA Landscape Beautification Awards between 2017 and 2025, including a 2023 Sweepstakes award.
Alex served as the association’s Secretary/Treasurer and on the state Ways & Means Committee. He held several positions in the Los Angeles / San Gabriel Valley chapter, including chapter president.
In his free time, Alex enjoys “recalibrating” with a morning hike or gym workout. On weekends, he and his family stay busy hiking with their dog Luna or taking the kids to their basketball and baseball games.
The California Landscape Contractors Association is a non-profit trade organization of licensed landscape contractors and others related to the landscape industry. The association’s core goal is to support CLCA members as they create beautiful, enduring landscapes that improve the quality of life. Although formally incorporated in 1952, CLCA has been meeting as an association since 1937.
